A new abortion-themed online reality television series in which viewers decide whether the actresses involved go through with an abortion or not has been launched in the US.

"Bump" follows the "real life" predicaments of three different women who have unintended pregnancies and the decisions and dilemmas that they face over whether or not they should keep their baby.

The three predicaments have been scripted to expose the moral maze that some women must navigate in order to make the correct decision over whether or not they proceed with a termination. They include a married woman who falls pregnant after her husband is stationed in Iraq, a victim of domestic violence and another who simply wants to star in a reality television show.

The show's executive producer, Dominic Iocco, told the Washington Post that the show was created following president Barack Obama's speech at Notre Dame University last year in which he said he wanted "to find ways to communicate about a workable solution to the problem of unintended pregnancies."

Viewers will be able to follow the emotional and moral dilemmas faced by the three women via the show's website and YouTube.
