Another NHS trust has come under fire for breaching patient confidentiality after a second teenager has claimed a worker told her family about a secret abortion.

The 19-year-old woman already had two children and pretended her hospital visit was for stomach tests rather than a termination when she fell pregnant a third time.

Yet the day after she was discharged, her devout Catholic grandmother said she had been told about the operation by an administrator at Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales.

The grandmother called the teenager a "liar", ordered her to leave and made her tell her parents about the aborted pregnancy, according to The Sun newspaper.

She has called for the NHS to enforce its regulations more strictly after the worker denied she breached patient confidentiality agreements and was not made redundant.

Prince Charles Hospital is investigating the complaint, and the woman's family are considering taking further action against Cwm Taf NHS trust.

Last week it emerged that a 16-year-old was thrown out by her strict Catholic mum when an NHS nurse in Luton told her family of her secret abortion.
